These butterflies are from an exhibit at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. It was known as Marine World, Africa, USA when I was growing up. What a fun place to visit! Another fun (virtual) place to visit is Mon@rch’s Nature Blog.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is releasing this juvenile white shark after 162 days in their Outer Bay Exhibit. This was the third baby white shark to “visit” the Aquarium. He arrived the same day a surfer was attacked at Marina State Beach, who was saved by dolphins I hear! I’m so glad I was able to see the baby shark several times. White sharks behave so much differently than any other shark. They are fascinating!
